2014 Lidcombe Stuttering Workshops

Calling on our in-house expertise as well as invited specialists, YIS hosts a range of professional development workshops and seminars throughout the year not only for our staff but for educators at other schools in Japan and the broader Asian region. In an initiative driven by Elaine Yandeau, a speech-language pathologist and member of the YIS Learning Support department, YIS hosted two Lidcombe Stuttering Workshops in partnership with the Australian Stuttering Research Center (ASRC) in the 2013-2014 school year, one for English speaking speech language pathologists in December 2013 and another for Japanese speaking professionals in January 2014.
